1. Acceptance
By using Teamlancer.io you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms govern your access to and use of our marketplace, whether you act as a Client (who posts work) or a Freelancer (who offers services).
2. Quick definitions
- Client — a person or entity that posts projects and hires freelancers.
- Freelancer — a person or entity offering services and bidding on projects.
- Project — the task, job, or service requested by a Client and performed by a Freelancer.
3. Accounts & verification
To use certain features you must register and maintain an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. We may verify identities and documents at our discretion.
4. Listings, proposals & engagements
Clients post clear project descriptions, budgets and timelines. Freelancers submit proposals and price their work honestly. A binding engagement exists only when the Client and Freelancer agree to terms and the Client funds the project (or milestone) through Teamlancer as required.
5. Fees & payments
All payments for services booked through Teamlancer must be made via the platform’s supported payment methods. Teamlancer charges service and processing fees which are disclosed at checkout or in the applicable fee schedule. Attempts to transact outside the platform to avoid fees may result in penalties, suspension, or account termination.
6. Deliverables, ownership & IP
Ownership of deliverables and intellectual property is governed by the agreed terms between Client and Freelancer. Unless otherwise stated in writing, ownership transfers to the Client only after full payment for the agreed work. Freelancers warrant that their work is original and does not infringe third‑party rights.
7. Confidentiality
Parties must treat confidential information shared during a project as private and use it solely for the purpose of the engagement. Confidential information excludes information that is public, independently developed, or legally required to be disclosed.
8. Conduct & prohibited activities
Users must follow applicable laws and act in good faith. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to: fraud, harassment, posting illegal content, copyright infringement, offering or accepting payments outside the platform to circumvent fees, and misrepresenting skills or work history.
9. Disputes & refunds
We encourage Clients and Freelancers to resolve disputes directly. If parties cannot agree, they may use Teamlancer’s dispute assistance where available. Refunds, if any, depend on the facts of the case and the project’s agreed terms. Teamlancer does not guarantee project outcomes or work quality.
10. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, illegal activity, or suspected fraud. Termination does not relieve either party of obligations incurred prior to termination (including payment obligations).
11. Warranties & disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teamlancer is provided "as is" and we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated. We do not guarantee results, timelines, or the conduct of users.
12. Limitation of liability
Except where prohibited by law, Krispire Solutions LLP’s liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to direct damages up to the total fees paid by the Client for the specific transaction that gave rise to the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Krispire Solutions LLP harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your negligence or willful misconduct.
14. Privacy & data
Use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Teamlancer you consent to the collection, processing and storage of data as described there.
15. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to active users by email or via prominent notice on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising hereunder will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Gurugram, Haryana, India.
